The Beach

Ahhhh the beach in December, what else do I have to say. A big change from the wet jungle Tamarindo is a beach lovers paradise. After an hour of circleing dusty roads we found of Pueblo Colonial where we meet up with Bill and Jaynene. Our house is perfect and cute with a pool, ac,tv, kitchen, the works. We've scoped out the best beaches in the area. Playa Flamingo is about 15 minutes away and has simple spots to pull in your car, plenty of shade and a nice little surf break to body surf and boogie. The one that tops them all is Playa Conchal since you actually have to cross a river and drive on the beach to get there. Yahoooo! After the adventure you are rewarded with a nice white sand beach and a couple of vendors selling grilled meats and cold beer. The girls hooked up with a couple of Tico kids on vacation and played all day long even though they couldn't understand each other.
We did make it out for the late night at least once while we had "the babysiters".....Thursday Reggae at Babylon Bar. we thought there might be a few people out and were surprised when the place was packed. There was a great DJ, lots of dancing, and if you got tired of that you could skateboard in the back.
Micheal has been out spotting monkeys on his early morning walk......and this morning at about 5:30am we fianlly convinced my mom that the monkey were real! They were right out side her bed room window making the loudest sounds!! I still can't believe it could be so loud. Howler Monkeys....about the size of a medium dog, but they sound like gorillas!! There were about 8 of them hanging around.
So tomorrow we are off on the next adventure. Heading south to the very tip of the penninsula de Nicoya. Looking forward to a few more (20 or so) days on the beach!!

Lots of love to every one.
xoxoxo
